PLEASE SHOW TO YOUR PARENTS..
Parents,
I just wanted to take the time to let you know that your
child is doing a fantastic job in Symphonic Band. As you know we have our state
music festival performance April 1st
2014 held at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg NC.(Times TBA) In preparation
for this event, our county is holding Concert Band Preview at Cuthburtson High
School on March 18th 2014. We will perform at 5:20pm in-front of three
judges to give us constructive criticism in preparation for NC – Music
Performance Assessment. (MPA)
We will leave MHS at 3:00pm on Tuesday 3-18-14. It is required that all
symphonic band students participate in this event. All students should wear
concert black for our performance. Depending
on how fast we will get done with our performance, we might stop for dinner on
the way home. We should Return to MHS by 7:00pm.
I encourage all of you to attend the preview performance held
at Cuthbertson High School. Our students have worked real hard to strive for a
superior performance this year. I
always emphasis performing is about improving every rehearsal, every day. Our Symphonic Band has done just that. I am proud of them as I know you will
be. If you decided to go there is no
cost to enter the auditorium. I hope to see you all there supporting your child
and band program.
